This is 100% the Doom Patrol I know and love. Quirky, gloomy heroes just trying to make the world a better place. Darcy totally gets the cast, spot on dialogue. Niko is the perfect artist for a modern Doom Patrol, just sketchy enough the longtime fans while being polished enough for the newbies. If you love the more Vertigo/ Grant Morrisson like DP, this is the book for you. If you like well-crafted comic books, this is a book to try for sure. If you don’t like the Doom Patrol with issue, you will never like the Doom Patrol. Highly recommended for fans of fun off the beaten road super heroes.
