August 1999, DC is in the midst of their special 80 page giant specials. One of the title's listed is Elseworlds #1. Featuring the return of the Super-Sons from World's Finest Comics during the 1970's, countless amusing spoof taking place throughout the DC Universe, and one delightful tale featurning Superbaby's babysitter. Think the Baby Jack-Jack mini cartoon in the Incredibles movie. Only one problem was that upper management at DC (no names but you know who you are) found the babysitter story to be inappropriate. So the entire run of the book was recalled and pulped. The only problem with that was that a couple thousand copies had already made it to the UK. Zing! Instant Collectors Item ranging from $500. on up. And now, it can be yours for cover price. So take that you ebay vampires! By the way, the babysitter story that got the whole book sh#tcanned, later showed up in Bizarro Comics and won two Eisner Awards! Baby Superman in a microwave??? So What, Clutch Cargo was always sending Spinner and Paddlefoot out on the wing of the plane to restart the engine!
