The darkest Spider-Man story ever gets EVEN DARKER!
Doctor Octopus and the Lizard have both been on a tight leash, but decide it's time to stop playing niceà Rated T+

Date Available: 01/18/2017
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

First things first- this book is gorgeous. The Jim Cheung/John Dell/Corey Smith art team will make you long for the days of Crossgen when Cheung could just about pull off a monthly book.

Second things second: It's only o.k. I feel its leaving many more questions unanswered just in the character interactions- that's leaving out THE PLOT, which also has what we'll call 'gaps'. There's a great Peter moment, after which the whole story turns on a dime, but the turn feels inevitable instead of earned. It may be crazy to suggest it for a Marvel event, but maybe this should have been eight issues (one for each leg!) instead of five.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
