Just when things couldn’t get any worse for our golden hero, fan-favorite JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL writers Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis take over the ongoing writing chores of BOOSTER GOLD starting here! When someone from Booster’s past resurfaces, Booster’s life is turned upside down and inside out, and only a trip through the timestream can possibly set things straight. And don’t miss Booster starring alongside his ex-JLI buddies in this month’s JUSTICE LEAGUE: GENERATION LOST #1 from writers Keith Giffen and Judd Winick!
Date Available: 05/12/2010

As a huge Booster Gold fan, and a long-time JLI fan, I’m squealing with joy at the release of this issue! Witness the explosion resulting from fan-favorite writers Keith Giffen and J. M. Dematteis, the dream team for Booster Gold, while they bring a much-needed refresher to this series. This title indulges in what comics are all about – superhero saves universe – with a twist. If you haven’t read the previous 30 issues, you’ve missed out on a fun story with some surprisingly touching moments (issue #1,000,000, sep08, or volume 2 tpb, when Batman confronts Booster Gold is still one of my favorite comic book moments of all time). Not belonging in our time, Rip Hunter enlists Booster Gold to help him fix a multitude of inaccuracies in the time-stream. Booster Gold becomes the greatest hero you’ll never know, saving the multi-verse again and again unknown to anyone outside the Time Sphere. Add to that this amazingly hilarious team and watch this title sell out monthly. Sign up for the club to ensure a copy gets reserved for you! Side Note: Fans of Giffen and/or JLI get a double-dose this week with the release of Justice League Generation Lost!
I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
