VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Grant Morrison

• Return to the future world seen in BATMAN #666, where Damian has taken over the mantle of the Bat! • The whole world has gone mad. The only sane people left are in Arkham Asylum - where Batman is the warden!
Date Available: 11/28/2012
BONUS REVIEW by Gavin Rehfeldt

Batman Incorporated is the pinnacle of the strongest of the New 52 books, and there are many reasons for that. Mainly, the immensely talented creative team puts forth a confident and fully-integrated vision for a risky direction in Batman's crime-fighting career. The stakes are huge and emotionally potent. BI #5 ties together multiple story threads hearkening back to the pre-New 52 "The Return of Bruce Wayne", "Time and The Batman", "R.I.P.", and Morrison's "Batman & Robin". This issue is so personal and painful, but also whimsical and wonderful. For the uninitiated, seek out Batman issues #666 and 700 to get a glimpse at the bigger picture. I'm a Morrison freak, I admit it, but this is truly one of the best single issues I have ever read.

I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
