VERY FINE/NEAR MINT

So bought this one as a kid, and while logging this copy in (it's gorgeous) - I noticed a BLACK RING on the cover, oh no, someone set a drink down on it at some point? Nope. It's printed on there.
While it's an all black background, for some reason someone put a double ring black circle to the left of the background question mark, it's a one or two lighter than the regular black background, but you can see it there.
My best guess is that some COPY was going to go there and someone decided against it at the last minute and put a black circle to cover it, but did not match the panatone black that was selected for the background.
I don't know, I'm just guessing here.
Also classic GEORGE PEREZ art with some KIRBY reprint pages mixed in.
