Spider-Verse comes to an end. There's no bang, but no whimper either. Several loose ends are tied up, but this issue feels like it should have been double-sized. We have everything that's been great about the series- banter beyond amazing, clearly drawn (both in writing and art) characters, spiders overcoming odds, and let's not forget the bacon based majesty of Spider-Ham. What we don't get leaves large question marks-the fate/identity of the master weaver, Otto and Peter working out their body occupation concern, the smoochy woochyness of Silk and Spidey, where Spider-Ham goes from here- all up in the air. Three of those seem way too important to deal with in the epilogue issue coming next month, don't they? Still, we get more great art from Coipel and Camunculli, and the best Spider-Man story since Straczynski's first three years. I'd say that counts for something.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
