Is there any such thing as the perfect comic? If there is, All Star Superman is it. Or at least the closest thing to it. Sure, the damn thing comes out way too infrequently, but when it does it's undeniably near perfection every time. This is the single greatest Superman story ever written, hands down. As his time is running out, Supes tries, over the course of 24 hours to accomplish as much as he possibly can for humanity before he dies. And what results not only tugs at the heart strings, but stimulates the mind as well. This will be, with only two issues to go, a sorely missed book on my reading list, however infrequently it graces the shelves.
