This has to be one of the best tie-ins I think I have read. It truly has nothing to do with Carnage until the last few pages, and honestly that is ok. We get 2 pages of classic Spider-Man comic that sets up the scenario for the story we are about to read. Leonard Elkhart is on hearing for his parole, an ex judge who murdered an innocent on accident when he was trying to get revenge, on the White Rabbit. Why you may ask because she accidentally killed his son. Wow a lot of accidental killings going on here. But that mistake ended up costing Elkhart and now a dying man has come to terms with the workings of the world and his place in it. But with that we come to conclusion of the events remember that 2 page set up in the beginning well that was Elkhart wearing the black suit, so guess who is coming to claim the codex from his spine. That’s right Carnage but Elkhart doesn’t even care he begs for death and Carnage obliges.
This one shot not only game me a link into Absolute Carnage but gave me a good story of mistakes made and lives lost. Proving that this event has some of the best tie-ins I have ever read.
