Bob:
The Sentry is a being composed of two opposing halves. Both of those halves are Bob, husband and pet owner. Bob is capable of great empathy and great errors in judgement. He carries those weights in private.
This is a mistake.
The Sentry:
Creator Paul Jenkins makes a welcome if overdue return. He makes this character feel lived in, like he really was created in the 60's and we're all just catching up with an old friend. Bendis! (tm) use of him in New Avengers was welcome, but maybe not fully in line with how this dichotomy works.
The Void:
The art is a bit shaky. Christian Rosado looks like he's on a Sean Phillips/John Paul Leon/Tommy Lee Edwards path. Sketchy, blotchy, blotty, by design. I quite liked it, while quite missing Jae Lee.
The Reader:
You will likely love this book if you enjoyed 'Thunderbolts The Motion Picture'. If you haven't read the original 8 issue mini, it is stupendous and available in trade paperback.
