Did you read Bendis' 'All New X-Men'? It was mostly awesome, bringing the original teen X-Men to the future to have them learn from their future mistakes, send them back knowing more than they should so they can avoid them. It was also drawn by some great people (Stuart Immonen among them) at the height of their skill.
Then Bendis left, and we got something different as 'All New X-Men'. You'd be forgiven if you walked away.
After that came 'X-Men Blue', a sort of all new all old young X-Men book that has also undergone some 'maybe let's just not read ANY of this' sort of business during its publishing life.
Now we have 'Extermination', the book that seems to be based on the idea that it is the 'All New Dead X-Men'. We have some X-Corpses in this issue, one of them a biggie, with an even bigger reveal at the end.
How much you care might be based on your feelings about that original series. Ed Brisson and Pepe Larraz (he's awesome!) bring back some X-flavor while Marte Garcia provides a color pallete that needs to be about 1.5 shade values higher than it is so we can see that nice work clearly.
