MINISERIES PREMIERE As war ravages France, a young girl named Foy lives in relative peace with her father... until tragedy strikes. As Foy struggles to fend for herself, she’s granted a miracle—her father returns from the dead to protect her. Now, they embark on a sacred quest, confronting murderers, wild animals, wandering armies, and black magic plaguing the countryside. As Foy comes face to face with the dark side of miracles and the secrets of the Corpse Knight, she must question if the man by her side has always been a monster... Acclaimed storytellers MICHAEL CHAVES (The Conjuring franchise) and MATTHEW ROBERTS (Universal Monsters: Creature from The Black Lagoon Lives!) present a haunting new horror series where family is family, whether they’re alive or undead…

Reviews

This book is way better than it should be in my head. I don't know who the writer is, writes movies I don't watch. I never even cracked open a comic by the artist. I only read it because I like horror, vikings, Conan, Elric, and their ilk. And much to my surprise, it was really really good. Gorgeous artwork that clearly told the story and intrigued me that I already issue #2 on my stupid screen.
PS. I also read issue #1 on PDF, and the actual books looks even better in person!
The story had a decent hook of being a weird combo of zombies, Lone Wolf and Cub, with knights in armor. Like I said, I did not think it would work but it totally does. I praised it weeks ago. Hopefully you pre-ordered it because as an Image #1, most stores did not carry enough copies because no one asks for books ahead of time. Some would rather wait and hope there is still a copy on the shelf. Our WT location ordered more copies of this than D'ORC #1 or Nectar #1 (because neither of those looked good to me) and as of this writing, we are nearly sold out of Corpse Knight because once again, Image #1 and no one asked until Sunday for it. Luckily for you dear "I won't join the club nor sub ahead of time because I love missing out on things!" Image loves to put out nearly as many printings as DC nowadays.
