(CA) ** PHANTOM VARIANT EXCLUSIVE **

From MARK MILLAR (Kick-Ass) and SEAN GORDON MURPHY (Punk Rock Jesus) comes a bromance for the ages! Corbin Quinn and Danny Reilly are two buddies who love to have fun. They're also scientific geniuses. When their research leads them to a time-traveling adventure, will they use their knowledge for the good of all mankind? Or use the space-time continuum for their own ends? This is the story of man's first, televised steps through the time-stream and everything going wrong in the process.

Reviews

I have never been a devotee of Millar nor Murphy, so I look at this book with fresh eyes. This book is at an 8 in my book and here's why. Although the ad copy for this book highlights the idea of a "bromance" storyline by the great team of Millar and Murphy, that's not the angle here that should be focused on.
In an era of Facebook and apps design, this story is based in the solid concrete of the modern world. If time travel were to become a reality, it would be precisely this form it would take. A couple of media whore genius's that would develop it. It would not be hidden away in the desert like Project: Quantum Leap or the Time Tunnel. It would be a full blown youtube posting media sensation. Men with very little common sense that would be willing to jump into the time vortex at the drop of a hat.
Interesting subplot items are dropped in appropriately and all in all we get a neat story about a somewhat unlikeable duo travelling through time. This is a terrific example of a #1 issue.
