FROM THE ASHES! Krakoa is gone, ORCHIS has fallen...but the X-Men remain, always. Cyclops leads, because that is what he does. Beast builds, because that is what he does. And from their new home in Alaska, the X-Men raise a flag of defiance. Mutant business is their business. Join CYCLOPS, BEAST, MAGNETO, PSYLOCKE, KID OMEGA, TEMPER, MAGIK and JUGGERNAUT as new forces in the world move into position, battling for the destiny and philosophy of the mutant species.

Hey Kids! In No Way New! Vaguely Different! There's another X-Men #1 in your life, and it's equally as exciting as 75% of the others you've read! It's fine. X people doing X things, but not on an island. It does shine whenever Illyana and Juggernaut are on the same page together, and I'll be reading those panels in upcoming issues for sure. Highly recommended for those who are fine with just fine, readers who want to see Magneto in a floating chair because that's "different", and fans of either Magik and/or Juggernaut. Fans of Storm need not apply.

I give it 6 out of 10 Grahams
