VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by TODD DEZAGO Pencils by LEONEL CASTELLANI & MARCELO DICHIARA Cover by MARCELO DICHIARA The most popular series that's called SUPER HERO SQUAD rolls on! Marvel at how kooky characters carouse carousels while canning courageous cartwheeling cubs! (that makes no sense). Join CAPTAIN AMERICA, IRON MAN, THE MIGHTY THOR, and the whole Squaddy gang for more Squaddy adventures! Date Available: 02/10/2010 BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS If you want to see The Falcon, who is on the cover, inside, forget it. He’s a ploy to make you look. And because Valentines Day is this weekend, Marvel couldn’t resist a themed book, having girls chase after boys, as supervillianesses attempt to get powerful jewels from our buddies, the Superhero Squad. But how? Through love, of course (and deceit and treachery and on and on; isn’t all the same?). The stories are silly and charming, and fit into the heart theme. The Hulk reminded me of a 2nd grader, but since that’s the target audience, he was well within character. And intros, more intros, to Marvel characters, which my son appreciates. Overall a fun, Fun, FUN one-shot…Just wish they didn’t squeeze the price up on this kid’s book. Can they make the price tag ANY smaller? I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
