BONUS REVIEW by Jake Pierce
I love this book so much, and maybe I feel that way because it's the only Spider-man title I actually enjoy, either way this book is nailing all the themes of why I've enjoyed Spider-man my whole life. I for one am not usually a fan of the overdone trope of "alternate universe where the hero is a vicious murderer" but this book works for me. Rather than just saying Peter chose to turn and be a different Spider-man, the symbiote dug into his fears and inner demons to make Peter think he was doing the right thing. I really appreciate that detail of writing when it comes to eldseworlds and what-ifs. It can be lazy and boring to go "in this world he kills people" and then just it at that. So I applaud Zdarsky, buy this series. Oh yeah, the art is killer as well and a reason to buy this book on its own. I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
