 Bendis!(tm) first new creator owned title debuts via DC and its ok!(tm) at best. Strong art by Michael Gaydos is dampened and doured by his colorist...Michael Gaydos?!? As for Bendis himself, he's a words guy, so how are the words? They are many, and specifically chosen, but don't add up to much yet for Pearl, a Yakuza tattoo artist, her boss, her contact, and a potential new beau. This feels like a 'read the first arc' sort of a thing. Let's all do that and see where we land. It is at least different in the overall comic landscape if not differentiating itself in the Bendis corner. I give it 6 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
