Vaughan takes Wolvie back to his days fighting for the Canadian armed forces (Canada has one of those?) during WWII. He loves, he lives, he gets hit with a nuclear bomb. All in a day's work for Wolvie, but this story is infused with a pathos that hasn't been addressed in a Wolverine story before. All thanks to Mr. Vaughan, who's actually made me care about what happens to Wolverine... and I hate Wolverine. I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
