The Twelve #2 (2008)

$4.50
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written By J. Michael Straczynski Penciled By Chris Weston Cover By Kaare Andrews

The Twelve time-lost Mystery Men of World War II adjust to the reality of life in the 21st century. But where do you go, what do you do, when everybody you knew is either dead and buried or in old-age homes, and the future you thought you were fighting for turned out to be radically different from what you imagined?

"As we delve deeper into the mystery of The Twelve, one thing is clear: I’m kind-of tired of talking about it. So much of this issue, while competently done, is about the difficulties that the cast has adapting to life in 2008. And since there are twelve different characters that need to be addressed, that’s your whole issue. Some are excited, some disappointed, some longing for connections from the past, some ready to start fresh, etc. So, yeah, a little boring to talk about. So far, though, it is still worth reading. Just, yeah, not worth talking about."
