Wonder Woman #16 (2006)

Wonder Woman #16 (2006)

$2.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Gail Simone Art by cover by Terry Dodson & Rachel Dodson

The intensity ramps up in the third chapter of “The Circle,” as the whole truth is revealed about the attempted murder of Diana on the night of her birth! And in the present day, Wonder Woman fights to prevent the destruction of not just her loved ones, but her entire culture. But whose standard is she wearing into battle, and does it mean she has abandoned the gods completely? No Wonder Woman fan should miss this story!

"With so many books being ‘written for the trade’ (okay, all of them), it’s disappointing to see a company sacrifice the quality, or at least consistency, of a story just to hit a single issue’s ship date no one will remember once the collected edition ships. Which is another way of saying that I wish this issue of Wonder Woman, part three of a four part story, didn’t have seven pages in the middle drawn by Ron Randall instead of Terry Dodson. It sticks out like a sore thumb, and now we (and DC) have to live with it in the story forever. Too bad, since this story has been pretty good so far."
