Mr. and Mrs. Yorkes don’t believe that the Runaways played such an innocent role in their daughter’s death. Heads will roll! Part 5 (of 6)

BONUS REVIEW by DAL BUSH
So, if you were to introduce 18 new characters in the first four parts of a story, and then have a several month delay before the fifth part, wouldn’t the recap page be a great place to, I don’t know, REMIND ALL OF US WHO DIDN’T WRITE THE BOOK WHO ALL THESE CHARACTERS ARE? I mean, seriously, eighteen characters, at least. And the recap page gives us NO pictures, no team line-ups, nothing. They do helpfully include a few sentences like ‘(Nico) encounters The Upward Path – a team of wonders who deem themselves the city’s protectors.’ Awesome. Now, based on this description, can you name the members of The Upward Path? No? Well, how about just describing them? Really? But Marvel gave you that detailed description and everything! What, does Joss Whedon have to call you at home and read the whole book to you, as well? Okay, for real, listen. I get that writers like to write for the trade these days. And I’m certain that when the collection of this story comes out it’ll be, if not good, at least comprehensible. But I’m talking about THIS comic, and THIS comic doesn’t make much sense at all. If this is the type of story you want to tell, and you can’t get it on the racks every month, please PLEASE just release it as a graphic novel instead of single chapters. For all of our sakes. Please.
I give it 5 GRAHAMS out of 10.
