BONUS REVIEW by DAL BUSH
I want to like this book. I really, really do. It's Warren Ellis. It's Sal Larroca. It's basically Ultimate New Universe. But that last one is what helps to make this, well... boring. An extended set-up issue that feels derivative of not just the New Universe and Ultimate comics, but also Heroes, Rising Stars, Watchmen and nearly any "superheroes in the real world" comic/movie/tv show/coffee mug from the last 20 years. It's well-executed and has obvious potential, but nothing can shake the feeling that it's an endeavor beneath all involved. Now go read Nextwave! 6 Grahams
