Birds of Prey #96 (1999)

$2.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Gail Simone, art by Paulo Siqueira and Robin Riggs, cover by Brian Hurtt.
"Progeny" reaches its shocking conclusion! Two bearers of the same name square off -- but which one's got the hidden past and which one's got the murderous future?
BONUS REVIEW by DAL BUSH
Quickly: this is an above-average superhero comic, definitely in the top 100 currently being published. With that out of the way, let me bring this up. You know why Marvel's Civil War tie-ins are ten times better than DC's Crisis tie-in's? COMMUNICATION! Marvel seems really good at making sure that all thir writers know what's going on so there aren't any crazy continuity mistakes. DC, however, has being screwing up every week since 52 started. This time, Wonder Woman villain Cheetah shows up in Birds of Prey looking like her usual cat-face self. Except LAST MONTH'S Wonder Woman established that she looks like a normal woman now, not all cat-facey. Good job, editors!
I give this one 7 Grahams out of 10.
