What can I do to help? Sigh. Whoever thought that getting a Top Cow artist (?) was a good idea should be fired. Tyler Kirkham is the worst thing to happen to Spider-Man since Alex Saviuk. No really. If you want to know how to suck all the energy out of a Spider-Man vs. Titanium Man action scene buy this book. If you hate your eyes and don’t want to see backgrounds or structured panel layouts buy this book. How about a different camera angle? No instead he draws a huge panel with a tiny Spider-Man on the back of a tiny Titanium Man, in the air, in the background. Terrible artwork totally distracts from what might have been a somewhat important “Road to Civil War” tie-in. Just what is Tony Stark up to? I don’t know because it was so painful to view the artwork. BONUS REVIEW by DAL BUSH Action! Adventure! Congressional commitees! Statted panels! Foreshadowing! MJ in the shower! Cap on the cover! No Cap on the inside! THIS ONE'S GOT IT ALL! More build-up to Civil War, plus Tony Stark's kind of a manipulative tool. Decent writing and art but microscopic forward-movement keep this book treading water until next month's Civil War kickoff.
