Paul Jenkins Sidekick #1

$3.50
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Paul Jenkins, art and cover by Chris Moreno.
By day, he is mild-mannered pizza delivery boy, Eddie Edison. By night, he is also mild-mannered Eddie Edison...who just happens to be the alter ego of the Hyper-Human's teenaged sidekick, Hyper-Lad. But the pay sucks. So Eddie settles upon an unlikely solution: He becomes a paid sidekick to three other superheroes, but soon finds out how hard it is to juggle the schedules of four super-powered morons.
Available:
June 28th 2006
BONUS REVIEW by W. DAL BUSH
Paul Jenkins' work at Marvel has historically been uneven: for every run on Hulk (yay!), there'd be a Generation M (boo!). But now we get a great new Jenkins' series that shows the ingredient he's been lacking at Marvel: Swears! Profanity! Working blue! Cussin'! Call it what you will, there's just something magical about a vulgar sidekick verbally tearing into iconic super-types. A superhero/humor book that's ACTUALLY funny, this one's not for kids, but for the childish part of every adult who laughs at dirty words in superhero comics. Meaning you.
I give it 8 Grahams out of 10
