DARK REIGN TIE-IN
He aint friendly and this aint your neighborhood! Yes, Mac Gargan, Americas favorite sociopath-turned-symbiote-host-turned-hero-hunter now takes the spotlight as Norman Osborns sinister Spider-Man. With the Dark Reign-a-raining, the lives of our mighty marvel heroes are being destroyed left and right but for guys like Mac, the world is their oyster and the chefs covering the bill. Macs a beloved hero. Women love him, men want to be him and nobody wants to run into him after midnight because the symbiote is still pretty darn hungry... By Brian Reed (Ms. Marvel) and Barry Kitson (Amazing Spider-Man).
BONUS REVIEW by JOHN ROBINSON

I'm a big fan of Chris Bachalo's art. I'm not a big fan of Chris Bachalo's storytelling though. Normally his very pleasing style leaves me absolutely dazed & confused when reading a book - don't know if he got his act together or if editor Thomas Brennan simply did his job and made the artist deliver a story anyone could follow. Guess I don't care, bottom line is the story's a lot of fun, the storytelling was GREAT for a change, and ask always I delighted in each page of Bachalo/Townsends art. Got a kick out of Venom/Spidey/Gargan juggling his Spider-Man act, Venom impulses as well as trying to pretend to follow Osborns orders while still doing what Mac Gargan would do. Well done.
I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
