Battle for the Cowl The Underground #1

$3.99
Written by Chris Yost Art by Pablo Raimondi Cover by Ladrönn
With Batman gone, a who's who of villains have descended on Gotham! What kind of havoc will they wreak on a city that's already on the verge of implosion?
Date Available: 04/29/2009
BONUS REVIEW by Stephen Banas

This issue wasn’t too bad, but when all is said and done nothing really happened in it. The Penguin made a death threat, Edward Nigma walked around slyly asking questions and Jason Todd showed up again in his ridiculous costume firing guns like the crazy person he is. The only real important parts involved Catwoman tracking down Two-Face and getting into a fight with Jason Todd. Harley and Ivy paired up with Riddler to find Catwoman which layed the groundwork for their upcoming Gotham City Sirens series. Other than that it was a bowl full of nothing. The art wasn’t too bad, Pablo Raimondi has a very bold style and the way he draws faces reminds me of Tony Harris but not quite as unique. This is worth the read if you’re really into Battle for the Cowl.
I give it 5 out of 10 Grahams
