Green Lantern Corps #33

Green Lantern Corps #33

$6.00
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Peter J. Tomasi
Art and cover by Pat Gleason & Drew Geraci
A “Faces of Evil” issue! The stunning “Sins of the Star Sapphire” storyline concludes with Kyle Rayner battling Kryb for the soul of Lantern Amnee Pree's baby. Plus, Mongul begins his conquest of a world and a takeover of the Sinestro Corps. What world is at stake and which Lanterns will attempt to stand in his murderous way?
Date Available: 02/11/2009
BONUS REVIEW by STEPHEN BANAS

The real value in this issue, unfortunately, can’t be found until you reach the “Origins & Omens” backup story. The only engaging parts from Peter Tomasi’s main story, “Emerald Eclipse”, were when Mongul was the focus as he attempts to rebuild the Sinestro Corps, and even those pages were a struggle to get through at times because of Patrick Gleason’s less than stellar penciling. HOWEVER, despite all that, if you have any interest in DC’s upcoming “Blackest Night” saga then give this issue a chance because it does a sufficient table setting job at the very least.
I give it 4 out of 10 Grahams
