It’s aliens vs. mutants as the Skrull Invasion hits the West Coast! X-Scribe Mike Carey and super-hot artist Cary Nord (ULTIMATE HUMAN) bring you a story that will shock X-Fans and have everyone talking for years to come. The Skrulls don’t expect the X-Men when they hit San Francisco, but don’t think they don’t have something very special prepared for Cyclops and his army when they find them at their new home. STARRING: ALL THE X-MEN. YUP. ALL OF THEM.
Date Available: 09/24/2008

REVIEW by Brian Fisher

I really, really recommend this book… but only to those of you who’ve been reading the X-Men titles lately. Those of you who haven’t might be scratching your heads as to why the X-Men are currently residing in San Francisco. But I think this is going to end up being an important part of the over-all invasion story, as the X-Men are really the west coast’s only line of defense against the coming invasion. The writing by Mike Carey seems to be taking a look at the more spiritual reasons behind the Skrull’s intentions, and the artwork by Cary Nord is simply phenomenal.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
