“SFX”, PART 1! Sentinels? What? And Magneto? And is that the Master Mold? What the hell is going on in San Francisco now that the Uncanny X-Men have relocated there? They’ve got a new Headquarters and a new status quo as the gauntlet is thrown for a new era of mutantkind. It’s all here in the double-sized anniversary issue that sets up the plotlines that will be developed over the next year in UNCANNY. And it’s all brought to you by the hot writing team of Ed Brubaker & Matt Fraction (Immortal Iron Fist) and fan favorite artists Greg Land (ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR, X-MEN: FREE COMIC BOOK DAY) and Terry Dodson (SPIDER-MAN/BLACK CAT, Wonder Woman). New creators, new home. The future begins now.
Available July 23rd, 2008
BONUS REVIEW by JOHN ROBINSON

Writer: Ed Brubaker It's pretty simple, I like the X-MEN on earth. I've never been a fan for the X-MEN in outer space crap. I know it's a cherished aspect by many of the X fans out there - just not me. I want to see people reacting to mutants, I also like to understand the backgrounds I'm looking at. We get classic style X-Men fun as we witness the retun of Magneto & the X-Men relocate to San Fransisco (it make sense when you read it). Odd mixture of 1/2 GREG (photoreference) LAND art & TERRY (I wish I was Adam Hughes) DODSON art. I'm also glad Marvel made this anniversary issue an accessible point for people who haven't been following the book! Recommended.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
