Written by Greg Rucka Art by Philip Tan, Jeff de los Santos & Jonathan Glapion Covers by Philip Tan
The Question’s been marked for death by The Spectre! How will Renee escape the grasp of the Spirit of Vengeance? Can either of them stop the immortal Vandal Savage once he has the Spear of Destiny? Plus, the return of Batwoman!

REVIEW by Brian Fisher

What could turn out to be the strongest Final Crisis tie-in continues here. As Renee Montoya faces judgment at the hands of the Spectre, the Order of the Stone escapes with the Spear of Destiny and bring about the resurrection of Cain. Any trepidation I had for this series as of the first issue disappeared after reading this issue. Greg Rucka has the whole “doom and portent” thing down pat and makes for an incredibly interesting read. Philip Tan, who I praised as of the last issue carries on with strong linework, though some of his more complicated compositions tend to get a little muddied with over-rendering and I pity his inker and colorist. This has the potential to be one of the better tie-ins, and with a second issue as good as this I’m looking very forward to the rest of the series.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
