It feels like it’s trying to decide between being a pitch-dark comedy or a straight-forward super villain book and never quite landing fully on either foot. The narrative is solid, and that’s high praise from me because I usually hate everything that Gail Simone writes, and the artwork is nice. But it’s the undertones of this series that leave me with questions. If it can find its footing this actually has immense potential, but it needs to find it fast before it loses its course for good.
