VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Jason Aaron Art and cover by Jason PearsonA cast of top creators lends their talents to THE JOKER’S ASYLUM — a special month-long, weekly series of one-shots starring the greatest villains in Batman’s rogues gallery. Each issue tells a special stand-alone story that gives readers an inside look into the insane lives of the Dark Knight’s greatest adversaries. And all the stories are narrated by the Asylum’s leading homicidal maniac — The Joker!
REVIEW by Brian Fisher

A marked improvement over last week's Joker's Asylum, the Penguin's story is a side of Oswald Cobblepot we've never seen before. The dark, sadistic side of this murderous villain is brought front and center in this story. Jason Aaron, as he did recently with Wolverine made the character more interesting than he'd ever been before. And the artwork from Jason Pearson is some of the best I've seen from him and suits the story well with his unique style. I may have been presumptive to write this series off after just one issue. This is one for all Bat-fans to check out!
I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
