Cloned from a warrior, raised as a killer, Laura Kinney has gone through hell and come out the other side a hero. After a stint as the All-New Wolverine, she returns to her roots as X-23 to make sure no one ever has to go through the horrors she did. With her sister Gabby and their pet Jonathan in tow, X-23 forges her own destiny in this new series by Mariko Tamaki (HULK, HUNT FOR WOLVERINE: CLAWS OF A KILLER) and Juann Cabal (ALL-NEW WOLVERINE, ELEKTRA). Rated T+

Hey Kids! What If? they, and we know who they are, decided to make the X books really good again? Perhaps they might start with a book that never really got much traction. After all, Uncanny X-Men was a short hair away from cancellation when a dude named Chris decided to pitch an international team of mutants. A thing that was okay suddenly made a leap into awesome when nobody was looking. This is much like that thing. In a world full of Wolverines, there's only 1 X-23. And her sister. And there might be some other clones. Maybe. Naturally, we can't assume that it'll stay this good, but it sure would be a lot cooler if it did. Highly recommended for fans of crisp, clean art, anybody who loves the Stepford Cuckoos, and the patient among you who think the twenty third time's the charm.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
