It's chaos in the commonwealth… and Michonne is without her sword.

BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

It's on the cover so I'm assuming there's no spoiler in telling you that there is trouble in the Commonwealth with a capital 'T' (which rhymes with 'P' and that stands for police brutality).

Michonne, new lawyer and all around future rich person, has gotten her first case. It seems one of the soliders protecting the Commonwealth was also sleeping with the wife of a commoner. Can you believe it? The soldiers couldn't. Well, they couldn't help caving in the head of the husband who was noticeably offended by these circumstance. One good beating later, and the people, the 'common' in the Commonwealth, are ready to burn the whole thing down and have started that very action.

Man oh man, does this issue feel like it should have been spread across three or four. To have a society running like this for years to SUDDENLY and kinda unconvincingly fall apart as soon as characters we know interact with it seems plot devicey. That's too bad, because they're in a book that can spend 12-18 issues on something if the creators choose to give them breathing room.

On the plus side, even at the faster than light clip, the emotional notes all hit correctly. Walking Dead meets the Flash in a race around the world, and death wins. Death always wins.

Anyway, kittens and puppies and all that.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
