This issue has me antsy on every front. The whisperers are closer than ever. Carl is making friends where he maybe shouldn't. Maggie is losing them quickly, because everyone little baby is special and couldn't be the one causing trouble in a disagreement when they nearly beat a girl to death. Rick has a pleasant homecoming.

So, what does it all mean? Well, it means that two years of civilization have brought the sane and responsible to the brink...again. I don't know if Kirkman is trying for an allegory for anything happening in the world today, but you don't need to look past last week's headlines to get an understanding that there are people, always it seems, that want to do what they can to bring out the worst in other people for their own personal gain under the guise of leadership. Gregory is far more vile, much more of a threat than Negan ever has been or could be. If 'civilization' isn't going to include every member who had to fight and survive participating fully, it might be time to be rooting for the whisperers.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
