Hi, my name is Rick.
I love Vikings.
I love werewolves. They are my all-time favorite monster, especially 1981's The Howling style... wait for it.
I love Marcelo Frusin's artwork, too many titles to list here, but he is 100% a way to get me to look at your book.
I have read a surprising amount of Joe Pruett comics. Which to be honest is news to me, I knew the name, but I don't remember him as the writer... because a quick search tells me he actually edited a ton of books I have read.
And as a writer, he's... wordy.
This issue with Vikings arriving to American shores, features a ton of words. Like nigh on Chris Claremont/ Bill Willingham/ Geoff Johns amount of words.
Happily, that is 99% dialogue and actually lets the amazing Frusin artwork shine through. And boy does it. Glorious chiaroscuro Mignola/ Risso Vikings vs Skraelings battling in the darken woods. Amazing... And then... hold... Is that? Wait? Do you hear that? Is that something howling? Like a wolf howling at the moon?
No man! It's The Howling style 2 legged werewolves about to unleash some flesh ripping damage! BRING ME ISSUE #2 NOW!!!!
