THE LAST DAYS OF MIDGARD begin NOW! Thor, Asgardian God of Thunder, has always fought to save his adopted home of Earth. But who can he fight when the planet itself is dying? Thor's mortal ally and environmental secret agent Roz Solomon has a few ideas. Namely the world's largest and most nefarious energy company Roxxon, and its ruthless new CEO known as 'The Minotaur.' Has the God of Thunder finally met his match, in the form of a multinational super-corporation? Meanwhile, many millennia ahead, a future version of Thor faces a very different battle to save what remains of the earth--a battle against the greatest villain the Marvel Universe has ever known-Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds!

BONUS REVIEW by Essad Ribic

The Earth is dying. The Earth is dead. We return to multiple timelines to start the next arc of Thor, God of Thunder. Artist Esad Ribic returns to help Jason Aaron bring us the bad of the now and the worse of the future. All-Father Thor returns too, grand-daughters in tow, after the end of Earth's days. Is a barren, brown Earth a solitary event, or part of a pattern NOW Thor is following? The last page of this book gives some hint as to the outcome of Cataclysm (of all things), and while it might be hard to believe, an oil company is presented as not having the best interests of the Earth at heart. There's also a poster worthy splash page to make you go 'gah!'. This is a .point issue from Marvel, so you should be able to jump in w/out having read the other issues, but it will help to know that Thor has a crush on a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Time to get in the pool, everyone.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
