Thank you for supporting Robert Kirkman and Skybound! I did not hear they were struggling so bad, what with the multiple hit titles in the last 2 years and a billion printings of GI Joe, Transformers, and Battle Beast...
Oh wait. This is the Terminal #1 review...
Were you alive in the 90s? Do you want to have been?
Well if not, in the 90s there were a gazillion X-Men tribute/ homage comics... Youngblood, WildCats, Cyberforce, New Mutants, X-Force, Bloodpact, X-Factor, etc... All trying to recapture the glory of New Teen Titans and Uncanny X-Men from the 80s.
Well what if Robert Kirkmen and 90s great Joe Casey teamed up...
To make a 90s style "high concept", extremely violent, some people get powers and some of them are evil (because they are drawn that way) and some are good (because we read their thought bubbles)! And they fight! And there is also a giant eyesore that talks like a Galactus/ The Watcher/ Darkseid/ Dr. Who villain! Suh-weet! Right? Right?
Add in some Andy Kubert! He was (and mostly still is) a phenomenal artist that took what Jim and Marc and Whilce were doing with hyper detail and added some classic Joe Kubert storytelling and camera angles on your favorite Marvel titles. Would you be interested then?
If yes? Buy this book. Buy all the copies... if your location still has copies.
If maybe? Buy this book. Buy all the copies... so I don't have to see them.
If no? Maybe buy this book anyway? Cause 7 out of 10 Kirkman books are good to start with and explode the longer they go.
My guess, my hope, my requirement is that issues to follow are much much better.
