VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Justin Jordan
(A/CA) Kyle Strahm
Ravello and his raiders on one side, Church of the Risen God on the other, with No, Hope, and Molly in the middle. This probably won't end well.
Date Available: 11/05/2014
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Briefly, The Spread is a horror comic. Verbosely, The Spread is a horror comic with elements of John Carpenter's The Thing seasoned with Lone Wolf and Cub, Preacher, Trees, with a hint (just a hint, mind you) of postpartum depression mixed in for flavor. If you don't see something on that list of ingredients that's appealing to you, you probably want to stay away. You'll feel bad after reading it.

If those items are to your liking, then the concoction thrown together by Justin Jordan and Kyle Strahm is ready to be served. The element that I'm digging most in this book is the pacing-the fast/slow/fast beats work like a visual version of the loud/quiet/loud of the Pixies. This issue looks a little rushed compared to the first three, but not enough to be more than a minor distraction instead of a real complaint. Sticky, goopy fun.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
