Most children never return, but the ones that do have terrible stories-impossible stories of terrifying creatures that live in the shadows. * Their only hope of finding and eliminating the threat is the arrival of a mysterious stranger, one who believes the children and claims to see what they can see. * Her name is Erica Slaughter. BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

What's easier to get someone to read than a new number #1 that's an excellent book?

The answer better be "nothing" or "nothing, sir" or "I really just don't like horror books and since this thing you're describing gives me the wibblys I fear for my mental health should I introduce this into my world".

James Tynion IV has written some excellent horror books (Eugenic is the high point) but works at something a little different here. He gives us a protagonist the same age as the victims in the book, letting him walk through the door of what is essentially a 'What if?' Buffy story with the 'if?' that is 'whatting' being that the kids at Sunnydale were being slaughtered so violently that the WB (or CW or UPN) had to change their standards and practices to meet HBO's.

Grab a copy sooner rather than later as it is pure speculator bait at this point.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
