BONUS REVIEW by "Doc" Schaefer

Anything associated with DC's classic title is worth investigating. The fact that this is a one-shot to spotlight up and comers makes it worth a look see. And the new blood due their best to shine. The problem is that they are focusing on the popular characters. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn? Showcase (even the original New Talent Showcase) brought out more obscure characters to highlight them and see if they had a chance to sustain a regular series. Metal Men, Challengers of the Unknown, Lois Lane ... all got their time to shine. The artists and writers due a fine job here but they aren't being given the chance to be challenged. That along with the fact that this is one of those one-shots that seems to be there simply to reestablish the copywrite of the title leave me disappointed. Not in the new artists and writers but in the system they have to work in.

I give it 6 out of 10 Grahams
