This coming of age crime story takes place in a small Florida town at the height of the popularity of indoor malls. When the head of the Cardini Mob Family mysteriously dies, his three illegitimate children each inherit a store in the mall. While the stores front as legal businesses, the real money is in the illegal businesses. The kids are thrust into a world of crime, all the while just trying to survive normal high school life. BONUS REVIEW by "Doc" Schaefer
 This is a fascinating look back at the 1990's. Creative and fun, it is also brutal and a little more than questionable. Writers Handfield and Haick III tell it exactly like it was back then. Language, attitudes, political incorrectness, and racism help tell the tale. Leonard's outburst to his would be killer is shocking but never the less true of the time period. While I completely enjoyed it, I couldn't help but think how many people were going to have a problem with it. The truth is that I lived through the 90's and this is really spot on.
