Find out in this extraordinary chapter of Wagner's and Hadley's Vertigo smash-hit. Retailers please note: This issue will ship with two covers that can be ordered separately. MATURE READERS

BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

Trapped during the French Revolution, Madame Xanadu struggles to maintain her centuries-old existence by summoning a powerful entity to come and save her. Will her gamble work? Matt Wagner, a fine writer, is getting into the groove of this series, finally writing multiple issue stories, and building them with small details. Amy Reeder Hadley again shines, especially on the cover. As an artist, she has weaknesses, but they are only apparent because they stand next to her strengths. Matt teases, here, about Madame Xanadu in the present day, and I can’t wait for the title to reach modern day. Then the title, I know, will reach new heights.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams.
