BETTER THE DEVIL YOU KNOW!
WILSON FISK. People love him. Kids look up to him. His generosity and kindness make him a model citizen.
This is the spin…but DAREDEVIL doesn't buy it.
As SARAH DEWEY tries to separate fact from fiction while on assignment to pen Fisk's biography, will an OLD ENEMY'S plan to snuff out Fisk change the narrative? Rated T+

Wilson Fisk is an interesting character. Someone should write a book about him.
It turns out 2 people are, one fictional, one real. The fictional one is the creation of the real one. Sarah Dewey has been contracted to write the 'nuts and all' biography of the Kingpin. She's an alcoholic, at risk of losing her kids and her career, and what we in the industry call a shadow of her former self when we meet her. Having taken the job, she finds herself meeting all sorts of colorful characters who want to kill her. What does it say that she finds Daredevil to be more questionable than her subject matter? She's great, and screams for a Jessica Jones crossover.

My only real issue w/ the book is that the art by Ben Torres has taken a bit of a downturn as I'm assuming he's working on deadlines with a bit of sacrifice in quality to do so. An underappreciated book by Matt Rosenberg (based on our sales), but probably one people will go back to over the years when collected. You heard that here when it happens.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
