BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

So, we reach the end of Kanan's too short time in comics. Marvel has cancelled the book after twelve issues. As a comic (and a series) it met the criteria that seem to be the consensus for what people want in their funny books. No risky qualities to speak of, but stories with heart and appeal for both new and old readers. Plots were presented so everyone could understand, told cleanly through a combination of good character development and clear art that welcomed whoever it was who happened to show up, and there were many who did.

Marvel, in spite of that, cancelled this book. It was their 26th best selling title, and the 38th best selling title all told. As if that wasn't enough to suggest that maybe it should still be around, let's look at what sold fewer copies,eh? Really, you have a book selling better than Superman, Action Comics, Totally Awesome Hulk, Green Lantern, The Vision, The Flash,Deadpool and Cable, Uncanny Inhumans, New Avengers, Ms. Marvel, A-Force, Batman and Robin Eternal, Spidey, Ultimates, Carnage, Silk, Deathstroke, Spider-Man 2099, Scarlet Witch, All New Hawkeye, and even Lobo. This is a good book. It sold well. Now, it's gone. It's enough to get the ol' Irish up this close to St. Patrick's Day

!

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
