Let's get ready to Rumzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, huh, wha, where? Oh hi. Yeah... excuse me... ahem.
Let's get ready to Rumble!!!
In this corner we have Thor Odinson! Who for this story to happen decides to pay attention to Hulk #1-6.
Weighing in at my book has been beating me down for 24 issues and I need "a breather" is the frazzled King of Asgard!
In the other corner stands Bruce "I am piloting my own body as a Pacific Rim jaeger?" Banner!
Since Ryan Ottley has been drawing every Marvel character for Hulk to imaginary fight... why don't we have the upgraded Thor fight the upgraded Hulk!
And they do just that. They fight. Because. Reasons. And to help you gentle reader, each hero gets a 2 page recap of their ongoing book so that if you have not been following along, you can jump right in.
Thanks Marvel! That is really helpful! Maybe try that for every event/ crossover book?
This book is tailormade for Donny Cates (Psst! He writes it!) Lots of creative dialogue over a story you kinda remember reading before but with a Geof Johnseque twist!
Like you can hear in your head Donny saying to Ryan, "DUDE! You draw amazing gory battles! Remember that brutal Invincible battle with Battle Beast?"
Ryan responds "Oh Heck Yeah! That was a feast for the eyes!"
DC: "Cool bro! Have I got things for you to draw! I got this crazy idea about how you could draw an Immortal Hulk scene with Thor's hammer, that will for sure be the 2nd or 3rd print cover!"
RO: "Oh."
DC: "Oh?
RO: "Yeah... I'm not gonna draw this. The serviceable ZENOSCOPE guy is."
DC: ....
MC: "Yeah hi I'm Martin Coccolo! I'm the artist!
DC: ...
MC:"Can't wait to draw this! I am so happy to be put on such a high profile book this early into my Marvel career!"
DC: ...
MC: "Like in a few years, I will most likely be an in demand artist! I show signs but really need some great editorial help and/ or maybe a finisher? At least a separate inker but I am trying my best!
DC: ...Yeah... I'm gonna phone this one in to.
Yep really wish that one panel was drawn by Ryan Ottley or Joe Bennet... As usual the Donny twist at the end is kinda fun. Kinda.

I give it 5 out of 10 Grahams
