This Hellboy Winter Special is a mixed bag. The art is excellent in three different styles-Paul Grist + Hellboy = overdue, but the lyrical little tales of folklore and fancy have two that are muddled and unsatisfying. Only the third, with sumptuous art by Sebastian Fiumara, has the mix of supernatural bleeding into reality crossed with punching that makes a Hellboy story feel 'right' for lack of a better word. I'd give it a 9, and 4 a piece for the other two. That leaves this as the most disappointing Hellboy special I can remember. Thanks, Obama. I give it 6 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
