A disappointing Kaiju book from Dark Horse. There's an essay at the end explaining what it took to get the creators to understand that this type of story only works if you care about the human story. They give us underground street gangs trying to gather explosives to use on other street gangs as our humans. I didn't care. It looks nice-ish, but the monsters are exactly between Pacific Rim and manga, ie 'borrowed' at best.

Did I mention there's no rooting interest for any human in the book? I will.

I give it 5 out of 10 Grahams
