Fantasmagoria #1

Fantasmagoria #1

$1.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Eric Esquivel
(A) James A Fino & Various
Inspired by anthology series like Creepshow and Tales From The Crypt, Fantasmagoría explores mythology specific to Mexico and the American Southwest in a series creepy-yet-comical horror stories that will straight up scare the salsa out of you! Undead luchadors! Evil piñatas! Hot, hot vato vs. vampire action! Fantasmagoría is what would happen of Telemundo locked down the rights to The Twilight Zone, and then gulped down a healthy dose of Ayahuasca. Created by Eric Esquivel (DC Rebirth Holiday Special, Heavy Metal Magazine, Vertigo Quarterly) and James Fino (Community, King of the Hill)!
Date Available: 09/26/2018
BONUS REVIEW by Shawn

Every fall brings a couple of new horror anthologies, this one being muy better than most. Based on Mexican myths, think of it as a less attractive El Diablo House. Grab a copy quick, before they're all seized and relocated to detention facilities made from converted long boxes. Highly recommended for fans of Lucha Libre, and EC comics (i.e. ethnically cosmopolitan) readers.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
